
| Kentucky Bourbon Salad |

Ingredients: Bonless chicken reasts, slice of bacon, blue cheese (or feta), red pepper, romain lettuce (red leaf and baby spinach make a nice addition), pecans, and of course, our great gourmet sauce, Kentucky Bourbon Sauce. Preparation: Grill your chicken breasts on your grill. Just before removing, coat with Kentucky Bourbon Sauce, allow to remain on the grill for 30 to 60 seconds and remove. The sauce will glaze as it cools. Prepare your salad bed using romain lettuce, baby spinach and red leaf lettuce if you like. Slice red pepper into thin strips and distribute in salad mix. Lightly toast pecans in oven broiler (6 to 8 minutes at 350 degrees), making sure not to burn. Cook bacon strip until crispy and then crumble after cooling. Add chicken strips, crumbled blue cheese (or feta) and spread over salad mix along with bacon bits. Finally, spread pecans over mix, then use the Kentucky Bourbon Sauce as a salad dressing, pouring over entire salad. You just can't go wrong with this one. Add a little of your favorite french bread to the table and you've got a meal your guests or family will talk about for weeks! |
